Pre-feasibility level designs for a RCC dam for the Sogamoso hydroelectric project.
It consists on taking advantage of the flow of the Sogamoso River through the construction of a dam. Based on the studies, an installed capacity of 820 MW was established, this produces an average annual energy of 5056 GWh.
Gravel dam with a concrete face 190 m high, average flow of the Sogamoso river 474.6 m3/s, reservoir area 6,960 ha, total volume 4,800 Mm3. Construction period 5 years.
